The standard SEA CON® line of Miniature Underwater Connectors (MINI-CON) consists of stainless steel shells with glass reinforced epoxy inserts. These are high density (i.e. 37 contacts in a 1.375 inch diameter, 131 contacts in a 2 inch diameter and 203 contacts in a 2.75 inch diameter), high pressure (up to 7,500 PSI) connectors.
The MINI-CON range of connectors has been supplied to numerous NAVY programs, offshore subsea oil-fields and used on many ROV systems. This series has also adhered to and passed a number of stringent environmental, physical and electrical quality conformance tests.
As an option, SEA CON® can supply the MINI-CON connectors with titanium shells and glass sealed inserts. This alternative allows the MINI-CON's to be used at pressures of up to 20,000 psi.
Additionally we manufacture this series in a Pressure Balanced, Oil-Filled (PBOF) configuration. This design allows for easy field repairs and cable length adjustments and is available in the same high density characteristics as the standard line.
Advanced technology has enabled us to incorporate our fiber optic terminations into our MINI-CON series.
We have a variety of available face pattern configurations which can be arranged within each particular shell size.
